Lock ou the kness and jump that sounds like stiff legged landing for gymnist and of course they are working on special spring floors. I just tride it maybe six or so inches and it sent a shockwave up my body when performed on concrete but if done up and down the yard less pain full but I used my a raised toe style not letting my heals touch the ground. I hope this is what you mean.

The hip flexors are the most ignored muscle group when training for vertical leaping…One chinese master said to work them properly, you must lock out the knees and jump with the hips and arms…This feels weird at first, but do them 50 times a day, and after a month or so..Watch out..Also one legged calf raises…hold it at the flexed position for 30 sec,,then one min…Build up your time..increases vertical..
